How Can severe Hearing Loss Be Treated?

Hello, I am having a couple problems with my head. I am experiencing sudden hearing loss in my left ear which is followed by a very intense loud ringing which all this last only a few seconds. Also, whenever I look up and put my arms above my head I get extremely light headed and dizzy. What could be causing this?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

There are many medical conditions that can cause sudden hearing loss.

An examination is needed to confirm the diagnosis.

Meanwhile, I would recommend taking medication such as Meclizine hydrochloride to prevent the tinnitus and dizziness.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dorina Gurabardhi,
